About the Project:
Park Bradford Condominiums, located in Silver Spring, Maryland, is a multifamily building with 97 units. The building is installing a 171 kW rooftop Solar PV System, which will produce 192,823 kWh of clean, renewable solar energy annually. Over the next 12 months, the solar PV, which will be installed by Aurora Energy, will avoid the consumption of 181,685 kWh of energy not sourced from the local utility provider, mitigating 111 metric tons of carbon dioxide, greenhouse gas emissions, and lead to projected annual savings of $26,431 in reduced electricity bills for the property.
Financing Details
The Montgomery County Green Bank provided a term loan of $227,010 to finance the cost of the new solar system at Park Bradford Condominiums. The new solar system is net metered, allowing any excess energy produced by the system that is not used on-site to be credited back to the building, helping to further offset energy costs.
