Montgomery County, MD (July 11, 2025) — The Montgomery County Green Bank is pleased to welcome three new Board members to help drive strategic growth and impact. New Board members, Shari Friedman, Musa Collidge-Asad, and Drew Ades, will begin their terms effective July 2025.
“We are excited to welcome our new Board members, Shari, Musa and Drew. Each brings valuable experience to the Green Bank, especially in business development, climate resilience and sustainability, and affordable housing. I look forward to working together on strategic planning and advancing the Green Bank’s mission of equitably accelerating clean energy investment and positive climate impact,” says Marcene Mitchell, Montgomery County Green Bank Board Chair.
Shari Friedman has 30 years of experience in climate and sustainability. She currently leads Eurasia Group’s Climate and Sustainability practice, focusing on environmental and social policies and trends affecting corporations and financial institutions. Shari received a bachelor’s degree in political science and music from Tufts University, and a master’s in public policy from Georgetown University. She has also received course training in finance and capital markets, as well as solar PV and wind installation, and biodiesel production.
Musa Collidge-Asad is a leader in environmental and community development finance, renewable energy, climate resilience and multifamily housing. He currently serves as Chief Investment Officer at Inclusive Prosperity Capital, as a member of the Maryland Clean Energy Center advisory council and co-owns kWRiver Hydroelectric. Musa brings deep expertise in investment and capital formation, strategy, and operations across private, public and multinational organizations. He completed the Harvard Business School Executive Program and holds a JD and MBA from the University of Maryland.
Drew Ades brings 25+ years of executive experience in capital markets, mission-driven investment, and environmental strategy. As a recognized leader in affordable housing finance and climate policy, he currently serves as Head of Lending and Investment at CPC Climate Capital, leading national efforts in equitable, sustainable housing. Drew also serves on the boards of Center Creek Capital and An Open Book Foundation. He holds an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and a BA in Political Economy from Williams College.
