SUMMARY:Celebrating Multifamily Housing Decarbonization
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we celebrate the launch of a major electrification project and first privately operated resiliency hub in Montgomery County at an affordable rental property\, Hampshire Towers Apartments. Additionally\, information will be provided comparing Hampshire Towers Apartments to its sister building\, the Takoma Overlook Condominium\, which launched its own aggressive decarbonization project in recent years but followed a very different path. \nThis event will provide community members\, stakeholders\, and partner organizations who made these projects possible with an opportunity to celebrate an important moment in Montgomery County’s history. \nGuest speakers include: \n•MCGB CEO\, Stephen Morel \n•MCGB Board Chair\, Bonnie Norman \n•Takoma Park Mayor\, Talisha Searcy \n•Montgomery County Council Member\, Kate Stewart (Expected) \n•Takoma Overlook Representative \n•Hampshire Towers Representative \nA light lunch and refreshments will be provided.
