DESCRIPTION:DOEE\, the DC Green Bank and GBCI have partnered to host a series of convenings and workshops as part of the Municipal Investment Fund. \nDC’s Municipal Investment Fund Project Kick-off and Stakeholder Convening \nAudience for this session: MIF Project partners together with private sector and non-profit lenders\, energy consultants\, project developers\, building owners and industry associations \nLocation: DC Green Bank with virtual attendance for presentations and discussions. \nFood and Beverage TBC: Breakfast and Lunch provided for in-person attendees. \nSession Description: This kick-off convening is open to all potential public and private stakeholders interested in assisting DC in the development of it’s MIF Public Private Partnership Plan and learning more about how to utilize the Investor Ready Energy Efficiency (IREE) certification from the GBCI’s Investor Confidence Project (ICP). \nPartners will solicit input from community and private sector stakeholders to inform the development of standardized project origination protocols that building owners and developers can use to seek financing for projects such as energy-efficient building retrofits\, decarbonization projects\, and renewable installations. NCIF qualified projects would have access to a streamlined lending process\, and potentially preferable rates\, for projects using standardized underwriting protocols. \n

ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability USA is partnering with the Coalition for Green Capital(CGC) to offer market-building funding and technical support to help communities — Local governments\, Tribes\, and their partner not-for-profit organizations — to develop public-private partnership plans that can accelerate the deployment of capital to clean energy projects. \nSession Description: This workshop is designed for energy consultants\, vendors\, services providers and contractors to take a deep dive into how to structure and underwriting process using the Investor Ready Energy Efficiency (IREE) certification to jumpstart your energy efficiency\, decarbonization or renewables lending efforts. \n

SUMMARY:Mid-Atlantic Climate Leadership Network (MACLN)
DESCRIPTION:The MACLN is a peer-learning cohort of more than 20 leading cities\, counties\, regional planning councils across the Mid-Atlantic region that meet on bimonthly basis to coordinate and share best practices on climate action. The group has been collaborating since 2010 with initial support from EPA Region 3 and is now facilitated by the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments\, World Resources Institute\, and ICLEI USA. \nThe next virtual meeting will be held on Wednesday\, February 18\, 2026 from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM (EST) on the topic of financing climate investments at the local and regional levels to learn more about Montgomery County Green Bank’s work on this topic. \nInvitations are extended to Laura Mondragon of Montgomery County Green Bank\, Jessie Buendia from the Coalition for Green Capital to provide a national perspective and speak to their work through the Municipal Investment Fund.
