This is a free\, family-friendly event designed to help Montgomery County residents learn how to access solar energy\, reduce utility costs\, and connect with trusted clean energy resources. \nThis community-focused event will explain solar options in simple\, easy-to-understand terms—whether you’re a homeowner\, renter\, or just exploring your options. You’ll hear directly from local organizations offering no-cost solar for income-qualified households\, affordable financing options\, and community solar programs. \nWhat You’ll Learn: \n\nHow solar energy works\nHow income-qualified households may access no-cost solar installations\nFinancing and community solar options for moderate-income households and renters\nHow to get started and sign up on-site\n\nWhat to Expect: \n\nShort presentations from local clean energy experts\nA clear walkthrough of solar pathways based on household eligibility\nOpen Q&A and one-on-one conversations\nA resource fair with flyers and sign-up assistance\nLight refreshments\n\nWho Should Attend: \n\nMontgomery County residents\nHomeowners and renters\nFamilies and community members interested in lowering energy costs\n\nKid-Friendly Event: \nChildren are welcome. This is a relaxed\, welcoming environment designed for the whole family. \nParking Garage Procedures for Guests: \nStep 1: At the call box located next to the booth\, please select “directory.” \nStep 2: Choose suite number 400. \nStep 3: You will be buzzed into the garage and will be given a unique number to access the elevator lobby doors on P1 or P2. The special code 21212 will only work for P1 and P2. \nFrom the Rockville Metro station\, MCGB office is 155 ft\, turn left and walk past Capital One Bank. Enter the white building\, use the keypad Directory\, select Montgomery County Green Bank\, and follow the voice prompts.

DESCRIPTION:The Number One Determinant of Human Health Is Our Home. \nOur Climate Justice Theme is: Housing as Healthcare: The Case For Climate Resilient Healthy Homes – The Impacts of Radon Gas\, Asthma Triggers\, Wildfires and Sea-Level Rise. \nWith attendees ranging from builders\, developers\, commercial and residential property owners\, managers\, corporate tenants\, occupiers\, sustainability and environmental justice leaders to government officials\, planners and concerned community members\, the annual Maryland Climate Tech+ virtual experience offers a rich tapestry of insights and experiences to catalyze investment in risk reduction strategies\, preserve and protect real estate value\, and create healthy\, thriving communities. \n\nAs the world rallies to address the challenges of climate change\, sea level rise and wildfires\, Maryland Climate Tech+ 2026 offers a platform for gaining valuable knowledge\, creating meaningful connections\, and catalyzing innovative solutions. \nParticipants will share and learn cutting edge\, innovative solutions that promote proactive change in the face of a rapidly changing climate while engaging with global thought leaders and exploring innovative buildings and developments that showcase resilience\, and occupant health & wellness in practice. \nMaryland Climate Tech+ 2026 will be held virtually on March 19th starting at 9:00am. \nHowever\, we’ve added two in-person highlights to the event. The bus tours below are $125 and lunch is provided. On March 19th the coach bus will depart the Owings Mills Metro Center at 12p to Cambridge\, MD for the tour and return to Owings Mills at 7p. Free parking is available at the Metro Center.
